Police are appealing for public assistance after releasing images of three people believed to have information about an assault that occurred in Mooloolaba late last month.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 10:30pm on Saturday, 20 December 2025. A man in his 60s was walking along Mooloolaba Esplanade, near the intersection of Venning Street, when he was approached by a group of three young males.
Police said one of the males allegedly assaulted the man, causing non-life-threatening head injuries. The group then fled the scene on foot, heading south along the Esplanade.One of the males is alleged to have then assaulted the man, causing non-life-threatening head injuries.

CCTV images released by police show the three males in the vicinity at the time of the incident. Investigators urge anyone who recognises the individuals or who witnessed the assault to come forward.
A police spokesperson confirmed that officers have increased patrols in the area and are reviewing additional CCTV footage from nearby businesses and public cameras. No arrests have been made at this stage, but police say they are following several leads. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers or their local police station.
Police investigations are ongoing.
