An urgent recall has been announced across Queensland (QLD) and New South Wales (NSW) concerning five deli meat products manufactured by Götzinger Smallgoods. The recall was prompted by the possibility of microbial contamination by Listeria monocytogenes. The recall was published on November 20, 2025.
The five recalled products, which include sliced ham and roast beef, were possibly sold by retailers in both Queensland and New South Wales, specifically in retail outlets and butcher shops.
Listeria monocytogenes Hazard Detailed
The contamination presents a significant food safety hazard. Listeria monocytogenes may cause severe illness in specific vulnerable groups, including pregnant women, unborn babies, neonates, the elderly, and individuals who are immunocompromised.
